Temporary Exhibition
In the former German yeast factory, known as “Bast,” in Nürnberg-Buch, a temporary exhibition has been set up. This exhibition was created in preparation for the 750th anniversary of Buch and also serves to introduce the museum concept. Currently, seven electron microscopes can be toured in full working condition. Additionally there are various sputtercoaters and evaporators exhibited. Guided tours are only available by appointment. This tour provides a brief introduction to the history of the electron microscope, its function, and its significance in science. During this tour, several electron microscopes will be demonstrated to the participant, and their advantages over the light microscope will be directly showcase.
